disable frontend

Stop routing traffic to a frontend that is declared in your load balancer configuration file.

Use the disable frontend command to stop routing traffic to a frontend.

  1. To disable this frontend:

    haproxy
    frontend www
    bind *:80
    default_backend servers
    backend servers
    server s1 192.168.50.20:80
    haproxy
    frontend www
    bind *:80
    default_backend servers
    backend servers
    server s1 192.168.50.20:80
  2. Run the disable frontend command with the name of the frontend:

    nix
    echo "disable frontend www" | \
    sudo socat stdio tcp4-connect:127.0.0.1:9999
    nix
    echo "disable frontend www" | \
    sudo socat stdio tcp4-connect:127.0.0.1:9999

The load balancer marks the frontend with status “STOP” on the stats page.
