Firmware Numbering
The ALOHA Load-Balancer firmware version number is composed by 3 digits separated by dots .:
<major> . <minor> . <patch set>
major and minor branches include bug fixes and new features. Upgrade carefully.
patch set includes only bug fixes.
Note
The ALOHA Virtual Appliance licenses are valid in a major branch only. Before upgrading, you must install a license valid in the new major branch.
Licenses for ALOHA hardware appliances are valid for all branches.
Obtain the Current Firmware
The procedures below show you how to obtain the current running firmware version.
From the CLI
Get root access by typing
root
.Run
fgrep -i version /usr/share/factory/version
.
From the WUI
Open the Setup tab.
Look for the System area on the left of the page.
Read the Version line.
Obtain the Current Aloha Model
From the CLI
Get root access by typing
root
.Run
fgrep -i model /usr/share/factory/version
.
From the GUI
Open the Setup tab.
Look for the System area on the left of the page.
Read the Model line.
