Active/Active Clustering

In an active-active cluster, two or more instances of HAProxy Enterprise receives traffic in a load-balanced rotation. This allows you to scale out your load-balancing capacity. There are several ways to achieve this setup. We cover the following methods:

Layer 4 Load Balancing

Configure an active-active cluster of load balancers by using a second tier of load balancers.

DNS Round-robin

Use DNS round-robin to distribute traffic to an active-active cluster of load balancers.

Route Health Injection

Use RHI to control routing protocol announcement based on the health of the network in an active-active cluster.
