HAProxy Enterprise is distributed through the Operating System package manager.

To install it, proceed as follows:

  1. Create the repository file.

  2. Install HAProxy Enterprise and components.


HAProxy Enterprise components include modules, scripts, tools, and optimized third party software.

Create the repository file

Create a new repository description file in /etc/yum.repos.d/.


The extension of the file must be repo (i.e. hapee.repo).

Add the HAProxy Enterprise load balancer repository

  1. In the file /etc/yum.repos.d/hapee.repo, add the content below.

  2. Replace the tag YOURKEYHERE with the key you received from HAProxy.

Add the HAProxy Enterprise components repository

HAProxy Enterprise components include modules, scripts, tools, and optimized third party software.

  1. In the file /etc/yum.repos.d/hapee.repo, add the content below.

  2. Replace the tag [YOURKEYHERE] with the key you received from HAProxy.

Install HAProxy Enterprise and components

About Dependencies

When required, yum resolves dependencies and automatically installs them.

Import your HAProxy Enterprise public key from HAProxy Technologies

Packages provided by HAProxy Technologies are signed. In order to install them, you first must import the public key:

rpm --import https://www.haproxy.com/download/hapee/key/[YOURKEYHERE]-common/HAPEE-key-1.6r2.asc

Update Repository Cache

Run yum makecache to update the yum repository cache.

Install the Load Balancer

To install the load balancer run:

yum install -y hapee-1.6r2-lb

To find packages related to HAProxy Enterprise:

  • init scripts are installed in /etc/init.d/

Enable services

To enable HAProxy Enterprise services, run service <service name> start.

To start hapee-1.6-lb:

service hapee-1.6-lb start
