The following section applies to all Linux distributions, except CentOS/RedHat 7 and Debian 8, which use systemd

The list below contains the services managed by init scripts:

  • hapee-1.6

  • hapee-1.6-lb

  • hapee-1.6-log

  • hapee-1.6-snmp-lb

  • hapee-1.6-stktagg

  • hapee-1.6-route

  • hapee-1.6-rhi

  • hapee-1.6-vrrp

Start services on boot

By default, the services installed with HAProxy Enterprise are not enabled.

For CentOS/RedHat, run:

$ sudo chkconfig hapee-1.6-lb on

For Debian/Ubuntu, run:

$ sudo update-rc.d hapee-1.6-lb defaults

Start a service

To start a service, run service <service name> start

To start hapee-1.6-lb:

$ sudo service hapee-1.6-lb start

Stop a service

To stop a service run service <service name> stop

To stop hapee-1.6-lb:

$ sudo service hapee-1.6-lb stop

Restart a service

To restart a service run service <service name> restart

To restart hapee-1.6-lb:

$ sudo service hapee-1.6-lb restart

Reload a service

To reload a service run service <service name> reload

To reload hapee-1.6-lb:

$ sudo service hapee-1.6-lb reload

Check the status of a service

To know the status of a service run service <service name> status

$ sudo service hapee-1.6-lb status

Output of a service status:

$ sudo service hapee-1.6-lb status
hapee-1.6-lb (pid  315) is running...
